| |  From the car park in Plockton turn left and head back up the road out of the village passing on your left Plockton Primary School (Esme's school)and further up the hill on the right Plockton High School which appears in various guises in the series. |
| | From Plockton take the road to Durinish. On reaching Durinish turn right after the bridge. Go past Drumbuie and continue along the road to Kyle passing several other locations on the way. |
| | When you reach Kyle of Lochalsh carry on until you join the main road where you should turn right towards the Skye bridge. At the traffic lights before the bridge approach road turn left into the large car park. |
| | The road on the other side of the traffic lights going to Plockton has the Estate Agents which was used as the undertakers in various episodes of series three including "The Good Thief". Opposite this is the bank used as the 'Royal Hiberian Bank' in "West Coast Story" (series one). |
